Company Secretarial
What is Company Secretarial?
Company secretarial can broadly be defined as complying with the requirements of the Companies Office (CRO) and the Office of the Director of Corporate Affairs (ODCE). Most small businesses only become aware of their existence when they get a notice of a company’s Next Annual Return Date (NARD). This then lists the penalties for non-compliance – €100 late filing and daily penalty of €3 per day up to a maximum of €1,200.
Company secretarial obligations are not at the forefront of your mind every day when running the business – there are probably enough other headaches. However as the old saying has it ‘the job is not done until the paperwork is finished’.
